*Preface - The New Testament Church


There are so many varieties of NT Churches today. Some have pastors. Others have pastors, evangelists, teachers.

Some have apostles and prophets and pastors, evangelists, teachers.

Many churches who say they believe there are apostles and prophets in the NT Church today have no idea who the apostles and prophets are at their church group … nor do they know what apostles and prophets do in the church today.

Our only source is the Bible.

The Bible shows us the role of the offices set up in the church by Jesus after the resurrection.

Ephesians 4 (after Jesus arose)

And HE gave some, apostles; and some, prophets; and some, evangelists; and some, pastors and teachers; For the perfecting of the saints, for the work of the ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ:

Some churches teach that Paul was the last apostle.

Is that what the Bible teaches?

Did Jesus give only one apostle after HE was crucified and resurrected?

Or is Paul an example of the first NT apostle?

In this book, we look at the scriptures concerning what the Bible says about the NT Church.
