2 Pour Out Your Heart to God in Prayer

Psalm 62:5-8

My soul, wait thou only upon God; for my expectation is from Him.

HE only is my rock and my salvation: HE is my defence; I shall not be moved.

In God is my salvation and my glory: the rock of my strength, and my refuge, is in God.

Trust in HIM at all times; ye people, pour out your heart before Him: God is a refuge for us.

Are you expecting man to do something for you?  Or is your expectation from God, expecting God to help you and expecting God to answer your prayer?

Do you have faith to pray directly to God, believing that HE will hear you?  Or do you think you have to go to another person to pray for you, thinking God will not hear you but that God will hear that other person?

These issues must be settled in your own heart before you can pray in faith.

Focus on the following scriptures until you can believe these scriptures.

Psalm 37:5   Commit thy way unto the LORD; trust also in HIM; and HE shall bring it to pass.

James 1:5   If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all men liberally, and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him.

Proverbs 3:5-7    Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding.
In all thy ways acknowledge HIM, and HE shall direct thy paths.  Be not wise in thine own eyes: fear the LORD, and depart from evil.

Philippians 4:6-7   Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God.  And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.

I Thessalonians 5:17    Pray without ceasing.

Matthew 6:5-6   Jesus says:  And when thou prayest, thou shalt not be as the hypocrites are: for they love to pray standing in the synagogues and in the corners of the streets, that they may be seen of men. Verily I say unto you, They have their reward.

But thou, when thou prayest, enter into thy closet, and when thou hast shut thy door, pray to thy Father which is in secret; and thy Father which seeth in secret shall reward thee openly.

As we communicate directly with God through prayer, we connect ourselves to God.

Staying connected with God makes us "worthy to escape" those things coming upon the earth.

Jesus says:

Luke 21:34-36    And take heed to yourselves, lest at any time your hearts be overcharged with surfeiting, and drunkenness, and cares of this life, and so that day come upon you unawares.

For as a snare shall it come on all them that dwell on the face of the whole earth.

Watch ye therefore, and pray always, that ye may be accounted worthy to escape all these things that shall come to pass, and to stand before the Son of man.
